Hey, It has been a long time to be here. I shared my latest post almost 1 year ago. But as I said in my first post, I’d like to share my yearly updates. Let’s have a look at the 2022 Recap for me!
👨🏭 Exit a Startup
In my 2021 In a Nutshell blog post, I mentioned that I changed my job to PulpoAR. Pulpo was a very early-stage startup when I joined the team. I started to lead a team and we re-designed the whole product development structure. We migrated the structure to the Agile methodology and we created a product from almost scratch. I learned lots of stuff about startups, product development, investments, managing a team, and more and more…
But the most important thing I’ve learned from PulpoAR, if we have good teammates on both the tech and business sides, we can do whatever we want.
A little over a year later, Pulpo was sold to the Glimpse Group.

💼 Changed My Job
I decided to change my job when I got the news from Pulpo. I did lots of interviews with Turkish and European startups. I accepted Getir’s offer. Getir is a rapid grocery delivery application that invented this business model. I joined as a Platform Engineer. It was very new to me because I was working as a Software Engineer before. The second new thing was I joined the “Data Platform Team”. Because I’ve not worked with Data teams before Getir.
My teammates are very helpful and I feel lucky about working with them.
🚴♀️ Activities
I started boxing🥊 and I met with Mustafa who is a boxing trainer. We’re living in the same complex. I have not lost weight but I’m learning how can defend myself 🙂
But the most important thing is that I’m doing something because 2021 was very immobile for me. In 2022 I started boxing and I’m walking more than in 2021.
Last 2 months I’ve not joined the boxing lessons due to the travels 😕 But in 2023 I’m planning to stay in Istanbul a lot 🙂
✈️ Travel & Vacation
In 2022 I mostly visited İzmir, Antalya, and Isparta. And also we had a vacation with my GF in Sapanca. It was very special for me because we stayed out of the way and we spent our time together.
In Nov 2022 I went to London for the first time. It was fun but I would love to go with my loved ones.
🖥️ Web3 Tech
I dived into web3 technologies a lot. I completed a DeFi project by myself. I have not gotten far from the web3 ecosystem. I joined 10+ events about web3. I met lots of people from the ecosystem and it’s quite well for me.
🎧 Podcast “üç sıfır”
We started a podcast called “üç sıfır”. We’re talking about web3 startups and technologies a lot. I hope we’ll create more helpful and creative content for each episode 👊.
💭 Thoughts about the new year
At the end of the year, I found myself thinking about something. I got a project idea about marketing in web3. These days, I’m trying to figure out more about how can I start from the idea.
Apart from that, the most important thing is health. We need to be careful about our health. I’m planning to do more exercise.
I hope 2023 will be a healthy, and peaceful year for everyone!
